7 Biblical Principles for Work

Do you know?

Do you know?

Earlier this week I presented a workshop unpacking several Biblical principles regarding work and how we can apply them to our work and our search for work.

I thought I’d share my slide deck – Why We Work – with you, as these principles might encourage and challenge you in your work!

Once you take a look, let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

What principles have I missed? What are the key principles that ground your work?

    Hi Dr. Ryan,
Your thoughts are aptly put. I cannot but agree with it because I believe in the supreme authority of the Bible. It is the mind of God for His people and because these principles are Biblical and relevant in contemporary times, I consider it very germane.

I have been studying the Theology of work programme for about six years now and I have come to find it as the most outstanding transformation in my life.

I have made a decision to keep sharing the message of the kingdom of God as it relates to work.
If we will make any difference or mar in our world today; if the church will find meaning in society, we must return to Jesus’s message of inner piety that produces social transformation.
We must pay equal attention to the gathered church (Sunday gatherings) just the same way we pay attention to the scattered church (Monday to Saturday).

The church can only have a theological and sociological balance as well as relevance if we make the most of the times and things we do at work.

We must live the true reflection of God’s purposes for work on a daily basis.

Thank you so much Dr. Ryan. This is really timely and useful for the church.
